Aerie Emergency Medicine

Aerie Emergency Medicine (AEM) is the division of Aerie that focuses on front-country, urban EMS training. We created the program in 2005, recognizing a need with our WEMT graduates, employees, and outlying EMS agencies for quality continuing education and opportunities for further development of EMT skills. AEM also works closely with our backcountry program, developing and implementing training for search and rescue organizations and rural EMS services that are often on the wilderness/ urban boundaries. The program has been extremely successful. AEM provides monthly trainings to the Missoula County Search and Rescue and Condon ambulance, EMT training to Philipsburg ambulance, on going EMT-Basic Refresher courses, Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) courses, EMT-Basic Endorsement classes and CPR classes. AEM instructors are paramedics, EMTs and RNs currently working professionally in the healthcare field on ambulances and with fire departments. As with all Aerie programs, AEM teaches through challenging, pertinent scenarios and direct, interactive discussions. AEM instructors teach from experience.
